EMBODIED ACTIVE IMAGINATION FOR ANXIETY

CA$125.00

When we don’t consciously harness our imagination, we can unconsciously direct our imagination towards the negativity bias woven into the structure of our brains.

Join Jane for this experiential 3-hour webinar experience that bridges C.G. Jung’s work in creative expression with your somatic unconscious and chronic nervous system states.

November 16th, 3-6 PM ET

IF YOU CAN’T ATTEND LIVE, YOU WILL RECEIVE A RECORDED VERSION.

Cost $125 Canadian plus applicable taxes

In this 3-hour workshop, you will experience:

  • An intuitive movement practice based on C.G. Jung’s work of active imagination to create a conscious dialogue to give voice to your nervous system states and embodied emotions BEFORE trying to alter or regulate them.

  • A guided embodied drawing practice wherein you learn to let your hand and body guide your drawing with different spontaneous drawing practices that allow the affect and activation of anxiety to take shape on paper.

  • A personal and potentially small group reflection (break out rooms are optional) on the practice to understand the symbolism that emerged in both the movement and guided embodied drawing practice to create a depth-based understanding of the anxiety you live with.

  • How to bring this forward as part of your practice and potentially therapeutic/analytic relationship to continue creating dialogue with your somatic unconscious and to free up psychic energy for more living.

    REQUIRED MATERIALS:

  • 12 pieces of paper, preferably as large as possible but 8.5x11 will do!

  • Drawing materials like charcoal, crayons, watercolour pens or pencil crayon. Whatever is available and is your preference.

This is not a trauma recovery program, is not focused on collective or personal trauma and is a specific exploration into my work, Jungian Somatics. An integrated and foundational understanding of the autonomic nervous system is recommended so that we can move beyond nervous system discourse and theory to focus on imaginal and Jungian explorations together.
